(OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia, Wednesday June 8^th 2011) A review of the legislation of the OECS regarding the implementation of Trade in Services and Investment obligations under the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) has just been completed.  

(OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia, Wednesday May 12^th 2011) OECS Members States of the World Trade Organization (WTO) are working towards securing flexibilities they have obtained in the negotiations on agriculture and non agriculture tariff liberalization modalities.  These flexibilities will enable OECS governments to avoid cuts to border taxes including import duties as a result of the current round of multilateral trade negotiations.

(OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia, Wednesday April 27^th 2011) Market access for agricultural and industrial goods, trade facilitation, fisheries subsidies, intellectual property rights, and services are part of the agenda for Senior OECS Officials who are to meet in Roseau Dominica from April 28-29^th 2011. 

(OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia, Thursday February 3^rd 2011) The OECS Secretariat’s Trade Policy Unit (OECSTPU) is urging Member States to press on with efforts to help lessen the time and cost taken to move goods across borders. That process, known as Trade Facilitation is an essential component of the OECS Economic Union which was ratified by Member Governments of the OECS on January 21^st 2011.
