Antigua and Barbuda Says Transportation is the Main Challenge in Exporting to Canada

OECS Trade Policy Unit Assists Grenada in CARICOM –Canada Negotiations

GDA_ParticipantsCastries July 16TH 2010– Stake holders in Grenada’s trade industry say their concerns have been addressed as to whether OECS Member States have made an input in CARICOM/Canada Negotiations.

This after the OECS Secretariat’s Trade Policy Unit (OTPU) and Office of Trade Negotiations clarified several issues at a recent meeting in St. Georges. The OECS Secretariat in collaboration with the CARICOM Office of Trade Negotiations (OTN) recently convened a one-day National Consultation in Grenada to examine and discuss the negotiating issues arising from the CARICOM – Canada Negotiations.

Dominica official says OECS Trade Policy programmes help in enhancing the lives of people in the sub region

Lucia, June 9, 2010, Dominica’s Director of Trade Eisenhower Douglas says the OECS Trade Negotiations Group (TNG) has a commendable spirit of integration through the sharing of best practices. His comments are part of his review of the 14th meeting of the OECS TNG from May 26-27th 2010: It provided an opportunity for my colleagues in the OECS Member States to exchange ideas. All the divisions of trade in the OECS were actually represented.  So it’s a useful forum to exchange ideas and be brought up to date on how your colleagues in the departments of trade throughout the OECS are dealing with their day to day issues.”
