OECS Secretariat Prepares to Launch Regional Labour Force Survey |

 Castries St. Lucia Wednesday, January 21, 2010.The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat is preparing to launch a labour force survey of OECS Member States.
To this end, the Secretariat will be convening a regional workshop on the practical application of labour force sampling methodologies and techniques. The workshop is scheduled for Grenada from January 25th – 29th, 2010

 OECS Secretariat, Castries St. Lucia November 2nd, 2009: The OECS Secretariat launched its OECS INFO statistical database on Tuesday November 3rd 2009. The OECS INFO data system is an adaptation of the generic United Nations Development Information System (DevInfo), for the dissemination of social and economic statistics. The OECS Development Information System is the first to be launched in the Caribbean, using the latest Dev Info 6.0.Version. |

 As the Caribbean celebrates “Caribbean Statistics Day” on 15th October 2009, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Secretariat along with its Member States joins the region in celebration of the first Caribbean Statistics Day, under the aptly adopted theme, “Better Statistics, Better Management, Better Development Outcomes”. |
