Castries St. Lucia, Wednesday March 17^th, 2010. The OECS Secretariat says a recent meeting of OECS Directors of Statistics will serve to inform critical approaches towards Statistical and Data Management.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO’s) sub-regional Office for the Caribbean, will from 1^st – 5^th March, 2010 convene a regional workshop in Grenada on data processing, tabulation and database management for a harmonised labour force survey for the OECS.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sub-regional Office for the Caribbean and the Special Initiative on Census, at the request of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, will conduct a workshop on essential census administrations and costing from 1^st – 5^th March in Barbados.   

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat will from 3^rd – 4^th February, 2010 convene a meeting in Grenada to discuss the piloting of an OECS-wide Labour Force Survey (LFS) in 2010.
