  • Mr. Kervyn Tobias, Country Based Specialist for St. Lucia

They joined Miss Karlene Francis, Project Manager and Mr. Stewart Amedee, Project Accountant who started working in July 2009.

Miss Francis is excited about the addition of these highly qualified persons to the team. Additionally, the positions of Country Based Specialist for Dominica and St. Vincent are currently vacant and will be filled in the short term”.

A team building workshop was held from 23 to 26 February 2010 at the REGU Office. Mr. Rodinald Soomer, Head of the Macroeconomic and Sectoral Policy Unit, attended the opening session. He provided guidance and insights for the team to successfully implement EGRIP.

The objectives of the team building workshop were:

  • To provide details of the organization and activities of the Project;
  • To conduct team building exercises; and
  • To conduct TOR development training and produce draft TORs.

Mr. Randolph Cato, Senior Director of the OECS, impressed on the team that EGRIP has a critical role to play in the transformation of the OECS Secretariat to the Economic Union because of the public sector reform activities, the improvements to service delivery to the citizens and the various other e-government integration initiatives that will be undertaken by this Project. He encouraged the team to focus on implementing the priority activities with the greatest impact.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the new recruits expressed their commitment to work to ensure the successful implementation of EGRIP.
