The High Commission provides complete consular services for
the Commonwealth of Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Lucia and also mediates
with Canada Immigration on behalf of nationals of the OECS. Applications
for passports, emergency travel documents, and visas for the islands of Dominica,
St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Lucia are processed by the Consular Section of
the Mission. For the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, St. Lucia
and St. Vincent & the Grenadines, applications are processed at the individual consulates. The
British High Commission in Ottawa provides all consular services for Montserrat.
Passport forms for all of the islands, except Montserrat, can be obtained at
the High Commission. The St. Lucia Consulate General at Toronto is responsible
for issuing passports and visas to residents of the Greater Toronto area.
Work visas for the Countries of the OECS are issued to non-nationals
in the event that employment is required in a specific field, and the expertise
is not readily available in the island. The prospective employee will
be issued a work visa while on the island by the Ministry of Labour. The
High Commission does not issue work visas.
