This activity set proposes
the continuation of a
number of sub-activities
in curriculum development,
which will culminate
in the production of
curriculum materials
that will have practical
application at the classroom
level. The sub-activities
include work on language
arts, mathematics, science
and technology, social
studies at the primary
level, and mathematics
and science and technology
at the lower secondary
level.
Teachers and curriculum
officers have been involved
in the development work
in the curriculum areas
mentioned above. The
will play a major part
as some of the sub-activities
enter the stage where
a final product will
be printed and published.
The OERU is collaborating
with the World Bank with
regard to developments
in mathematics and science
and technology at the
lower secondary level,
under the World Bank’s
BERP II programme. The
OERU will remain alert
to developments in these
areas in order to enhance
collaboration between
and among stakeholders.
