The OERU will continue
to promote national consultation
by member states on the
development of an ICT
policy and strategy.
The Strategy Document
development by the OERU
will guide member states
in the implementation
of the policy.
The OERU has, in the
past, carried out significant
research work, which
has resulted in the formulation
of recommendations and
policy proposals for
the consideration of
OECS Ministers of Education.
The research has been
action oriented with
the results pointing
to definite pathways
for improvement in the
selected area.
The ongoing comprehensive
research on school discipline
is in direct response
to a request by OECS
Ministers of Education.
Phases I and II have
been completed. Phase
III will be carried out
during this fiscal year.
It is expected that the
analysis of both the
quantitative and qualitative
data will lead to the
development of recommendations
to be included in a policy
paper for the Ministers
of Education.
The OERU will establish
an Education Knowledge
Management Network conducive
to the sharing of best
practices and knowledge
among the OECS member
states.
