Strategy 2010(2000) which follows on from Foundation
For the Future : The OECS Education Reform Strategy(1991) ,
the latter preceded and facilitated the establishment of the OECS
Education Reform Unit.
The Ministers of Education of the OECS at their fourth Annual Meeting
in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, decided that it was prudent and necessary
to establish a sub-regional strategy for the reform of education in the
OECS. Such a strategy would provide the basis for national development,
the framework for sub-regional initiatives and a focal point for regional
cooperation in education within the Caribbean. The following are profile
of priority areas from which regional projects are developed for external
funding.
