Castries St. Lucia, Thursday February 25^th, 2010. An agriculture official at the OECS Secretariat says the presence of the black sigatoka fungus in some OECS Member countries can seriously decrease the value of the Agriculture Industry to the economies of Member States.  

The Trade Policy Unit in collaboration with the Hubs and Spokes Project and the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Antigua/Barbuda will convene a one-day workshop on February 25^th 2010 to establish the Antigua and Barbuda Coalition of Service Industries.

OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia February 5^th, 2010: Trade Policy stakeholders have expressed gratitude to the OECS Secretariat for facilitating their successful participation at critical regional meetings such as the CARICOM Council for Trade & Economic Development (COTED).

(OECS Secretariat, Castries, Saint Lucia) The Secretariat of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States is conducting a study of the natural, social, economic and physical attributes of the Pointe Sable Environmental Protection Area (PSEPA), a protected area located in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia.  The site study, which commenced in late January 2010, is being undertaken by CEPro Consultants Limited – a Saint Lucia based firm.  The consultants are expected to complete their work in three months.
