The OECS Sports Desk has launched a new multi-feature website, which will provide the sub-region with an information-sharing and communication tool for sports associations, sports administrators and the sporting public.

The website’s main features include news and feature articles on sporting matters and personalities; upcoming events; results, archived results; information on the OECS Sports Desk; the OECS Sports Connection – a weekly audio commentary prepared by the Sports Desk for broadcast to the region; recognition of sponsors and development partners; the quarterly newsletter ‘SportLite’; a photo gallery; information on Ministries of Sports; a database of sporting and media contacts; the annual OECS Sports Calendar; links to sport sites; and a community chat room. 

OECS Sports Coordinator Mr. David Peterkin is encouraging the region’s sporting people, not just to visit the website, but to also use the database to communicate with Ministries of Sports and Sporting Associations in Member States.  Mr. Peterkin also wants everyone to join the Chat Room and “let’s talk sports”
