Her Excellency Ambassador June Soomer, Plenipotentiary Representative of St. Lucia to the OECS and CARICOM presented her credentials to OECS Director General Dr. Len Ishmael, at the OECS Secretariat in Castries, St. Lucia on 2nd September 2008.

Ambassador Soomer is a distinguished St. Lucian scholar who has researched and published papers on a range of regional issues including human development and globalization.   She has lectured at Universities in the United States and the Caribbean, and has also served as Adviser in the Strategic Policy and Planning Department at the East Caribbean Central Bank.

Dr. Ishmael extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Soomer and wished her every success in the execution of her duties.
