The St. George’s Declaration of Principles for Environmental Sustainability in the OECS (SGD) is the Eastern Caribbean’s consensual roadmap to sustainable development. It is a powerful and unique environmental management policy instrument that was developed by the governments and people of the OECS region, to ensure that environmental policy and management are not divorced from economic and social development.

This SGD media campaign highlights five environmentally sustainable projects in the OECS that are outstanding examples of the how the principles of the Declaration can be applied in the prudent use of natural resources for economic purposes. There are also Public Service Announcements promoting the value of the SGD.
