The Documentation Centre of the OECS is an integral part of the Organisation’s Information Services Unit (ISU). This Unit is headed by Mrs. Naula Williams and includes the Organisation’s Registry and Records Management Department. The Documentation Centre had its beginning in the OECS INFONET which was established in 1987 as a computerised database for the dissemination of socio-economic material held in Documentations Centres in the Member States of the OECS, to planners and policy makers in the OECS region.

The current Documentation Centre is an amalgamation of the Economic Affairs Secretariat’s library which was based in Antigua, and INFONET. It serves as the main research library for the Secretariat. The collection consists of over 12,000 monographs, including books, conference proceedings, manuals and reference material. In addition there are over 500 journals, newsletters, reports, and statistical data on the sub region.

The Documentation centre excels in the area Economic and Developmental issues especially from a historical perspective. Areas such as: The Environment and Trade are very well covered. The Documentation Centre is a focal point for WTO documents and strives to source documents that support the work programme of the OECS Secretariat.

The ISU continues to disseminate information about the OECS through the INTERNET, brochures and a wide number of Publications on all aspects of OECS work from the various Units, which are collected organised and disseminated.. The documentation centre is ready to assist with any enquiries. We can be contacted at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
