OECS Netball recently received a major boost on Wednesday through a financial contribution from regional Business House Courts Furnishings Limited.
At a hand over ceremony in Castries Courts OECS Marketing Director Lorraine Sidone confirmed that a contribution of at least 43 thousand EC dollars will be provided each year for the next three years in the first instance. The tournament will now be called the Courts OECS Champion of Champions Netball Championship.
OECS Sports Co-ordinator David Peterkin welcomed the sponsorship as a significant response to a tremedous need to keep the OECS Netball programme on the annual agenda.
The Courts OECS Champion of Champions Netball Championship tipped off on Sunday March 9th 2008 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The competing teams are:
Survivors of Anguilla
Cable and Wireless Aces of Dominica
Capisterre Ball Stars of St. Kitts and Nevis
Courts Eagles of Antigua and Barbuda
Digicel Elite Sports Club of Saint Lucia
Western Union Mitres of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
